Following this, a team from IMPLEMENTERS, the project managers, travelled to Nadowli Kaleo in February 2023 to conduct an initial assessment and engage with local stakeholders. Construction began in May 2023 after a floor plan was selected and a construction company was contracted.

YM Lab 14 was officially dedicated on Saturday, 22nd March 2025, bringing together stakeholders in STEAM education, educators, students, and local community members. Dignitaries present included the Upper West Regional Education Director, Mr. Abdul-Razak Korah; the Member of Parliament for Nadowli Kaleo Constituency, Hon. Sumah Anthony Mwinkaara; and the Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozing.

Also in attendance were the executives of the Helping Africa Foundation, the Project Manager and CEO of IMPLEMENTERS, and the Speaker of Parliament, who personally financed the construction of the facility. In his remarks, the Speaker encouraged the community to take ownership of the lab and support its sustainability to ensure that future generations continue to benefit. The lab is expected to provide about 3,500 students in the Nadowli-Kaleo District with greater access to quality education.
