Event Overview: YM LABS 1 - 12 & THE GAMBIA

The Annual Impact Roundtable Discussion (AiRTAD) & Robotics Competition is an annual impact activity of the Yamoransa Model Labs Program aimed at showcasing its achievements & impact. The event features a series of roundtable discussions, robotics exhibitions & competitions among beneficiaries of the program. It spans three days of fun and exciting activities highlighting the tremendous impact of the program.

The event consists of competitions and roundtable discussions, where various representatives of the program are invited to share their successes and accomplishments as well as their long-term objectives. During the event external stakeholders are invited to share how they are promoting the cause and improving the utilization of STEAM education in Ghana. The event serves as an informative session and provides insight into the various ways to improve STEAM education in Ghana.

This year's event is aimed at preparing everyone for the Yamoransa Model Lab Vision 2025 which will showcase the impact of the program. 1.0 Theme for the event

Competition Structure

Competition Format:

  • The competitions are in two stages for the Basic Level; Preliminary & Final Stages.
  • It consists of a combination of both EDULab & Makerspace Questions, but split into sections.
  • The preliminary stages consist of 3 groups where each group has 4 teams (labs).
  • The final stages consist of the winner & first runner ups from the preliminary stages.
  • The Ultimate competitions will also be in two stages; Preliminary & Final Stage
  • The preliminary stage of the ultimate competition consists of 2 groups where each group has 4 teams.
  • The final stage consists of the winner & first runner ups from the preliminary stages.
  • The award ceremony awards the winner, first runner up & 2nd runner up from the finals of the basic school competition and secondary school competition.
