AIRTAD 2026

AIRTAD is a flagship initiative of IMPLEMENTERS in partnership with the Helping Africa Foundation, dedicated to advancing STEAM learning and celebrating the transformational impact of the Yamoransa Model Labs Program Africa. Since 2016, the Yamoransa Model has supported communities across Ghana and West Africa by establishing state-of-the-art STEAM Labs that unlock opportunities to digital learning, robotics, and innovation.

The event’s theme, “Shaping Tomorrow’s Workforce through Education and Innovation”, recognises the growing need to equip Africa’s youth with adaptable skills, problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to thrive in a world powered by technology and creativity. AIRTAD 2026 will reflect on how education and innovation can work together to prepare young learners for the future of work.

AIRTAD 2026 seeks to:

• Promote and build interest in STEAM education by engaging students in robotics competitions that spark creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Showcase innovative STEAM projects and solutions developed by beneficiaries across the Yamoransa Model Lab network.
• Promote collaboration between students, educators, NGOs, the private sector, the government, and industry leaders.
• Recognize and reward excellence in STEAM innovation through competitions and awards.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange through panel discussions, keynote addresses, and workshops.
• Mobilize support and investment for expanding the reach and impact of the YM Labs.

What to Expect at AIRTAD 2026

Marking its  5th anniversary, this edition will introduce fresh experiences and dynamic learning moments while preserving the energy and spirit that make AIRTAD memorable. Key Features Include:

• Robotics and Innovation Competitions at both the basic and secondary school levels 
• High-level Roundtable Conversations with policymakers and thought leaders driving education and technology in Ghana
• Innovation Exhibitions from beneficiaries of the Yamoransa Model Labs on creative solutions addressing real-world community challenges 
• A lively debate segment featuring some of Ghana’s brightest young minds.
• Capacity-Building Workshops for students, educators, and centre managers
• Awards and Recognition Ceremonies honouring creativity, leadership, and long-term impact
