On February 23rd the Yamoransa Model for Sustainable Development and its partners and sponsors convened the AIRTAD 22 (Annual Impact Round Table Discussion) at the Accra Digital Center.
The event was attended by students, teachers and managers from each of the ICT Centers in Ghana as well as from The Gambia as well as numerous dignitaries and guests, including the guest speaker, The Deputy Chief of Mission from the US Embassy.
The program began with two round table discussions with the students and administrators from Labs 1-8. These were followed by an informative round table discussion moderated by Jonathan Wiesner with Dr. Deborah Rose, President of HAF, Japhet Aryku, Executive Director of HAF, Kafui Prebbie, CEO of TECHAiDE, Ms. Sukai Sey, Promoter for YM Gambie, and the Honorable Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP, Techiman North and Promoter of Lab 10. They discussed the origin of the Yamoransa Model and its evolution over the past 5 years.
This was followed by a round table discussion on promoting Sustainable STEM Education in Ghana.
After lunch, the final round table discussion was held with the newest of the YM labs that were dedicated in 2021, Labs 3.1, 9, 10 and The Gambia.
The program concluded for the day at 5 pm and the entire group left to go to the Du Bois Center to commemorate the birthday of W.E.B. Du Bois.
